Do you know your neighbors? Yes, my neighbors are the salt of the earth, but they do not know that I am Holy Ghost Writer lol.
How important are friends in your life? Friends are vital to a good life, yet for me, a close, true friend is rare.
How many friends does a person need? Only one real friend is needed in life, yet one should always be friendly and charitable towards strangers and acquaintances. Sometimes, especially if lonely, the best friends can be books.
What does love mean to you? Love can be a synonym for God and if your God is Love then your life is complete. In this case, it doesn't matter what your religion may be, or if you have any at all. There are other forms of a lesser love know as intimacy, which is sacred when shared exclusively with a significant other.
What social issues interest you the most? Freeing innocent prisoners, falsely accused. Other than protecting children and making sure they have the most basic needs in life, I can see not worse evil than an innocent person being incarcerated, and perhaps that is why I so feel for the story of Edmond Dantes. Freedom to me is the greatest asset on earth and it is slowly being taken away like that proverbial frog that begins in cold water and since the temperature slowly rises he only attempts to escape when it is too late. 1984 is coming to pass at an alarming rate and there seems no way to avoid it.
When you get free time on the internet or you go to the library what do you want to read about? I like to keep up with the daily news to see how the world is developing and to use what I can in my fictional creations.
Do you find the time to read? Not as much as I would like.
Last book you purchased? Tell us about it. It a book called Arabian something but don't remember the full title and haven't read it yet, but something like a newer version of Lawrence of Arabia. The book I most recently finished reading was the Complete Adventures of Sherlock Holmes which inspired me to include him and his side kick in the Monte Cristo series. In fact, The Sovereign Order of Monte Cristo is not only the second sequel to the Monte Cristo series it is also a prequel to the Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and I hope very much that you will enjoy it.
Who do you admire? Women that make a difference in the world. I would like to see all candidates for president of each country especially the USA be women so the result would be inevitable not caring which parties wins.
What is your favorite quality about yourself? Creativity.
What is your least favorite quality about yourself? Laziness
What is your favorite quote, by whom, and why? "All (wo)men are created equal" because it legally puts everyone on an equal playing field regardless of background.
What are you most proud of accomplishing so far in your life? Raising wonderful children, but since my identity is a secret, beyond that I can only point to my Monte Cristo series which I am indeed very proud to published and promote.
What is your favorite color? Purple.
What is your favorite food? I enjoy French cooking whether in Paris, Vietnam or New York.
What's your favorite place in the entire world? Home, however, I loved visiting London many years ago.
How has your upbringing influenced your writing? I'm sure that it has a subtle influence but it developed in me a gentle and kind spirit that probably comes through some of my characters.
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated? The first novel I began writing was before Dan Brown came out with his Davinci Code and was inspired to do so after reading Holy Blood Holy Grail giving descendants to Mary Magdalene in modern times. I never got that book off the ground, however, there were 1000 paperbacks of it floating around in Europe and possibly crossed his path. Having originated that idea before he did, I felt brave in making Edmond Dantes a descendant too in The Sultan of Monte Cristo.
When and why did you begin writing? After reading Holy Blood Holy Grail and a book called Fact or Fiction, I felt the urge to begin writing my first novel.
How long have you been writing? Since then, but don't want to give too much away due to the contest. I am not a teenager as some have guessed lol.
When did you first know you could be a writer? I knew it then, but delayed my quest, unfortunately, but maybe needed more of life's dramas to forge my experienced, knowledge base.
What inspires you to write and why? My knack for storytelling and a desire to entertain and inspire others.
What genre are you most comfortable writing? Mystery, action, adventure with a little suspense and thrills thrown in for good measure.
What inspired you to write your first book? Reading nonstop in a short time really got the ball rolling for me.
Who or what influenced your writing once you began? The books I read and life's experiences.
Who or what influenced your writing over the years? I would have to say my father was my greatest influence.
What made you want to be a writer? Writing is a form of freedom.
What do you consider the most challenging about writing a novel, or about writing in general? I get bored too easily and am more of an idea person, but once I get into the flow of it, the books almost write themselves as they take on their owns lives.
Did writing this book teach you anything and what was it? To trust others in helping with editing.
The Sovereign Order of Monte Cristo is a continuation of The Count of Monte Cristo (Book I), related through the voice of Sherlock Holmes and The Sultan of Monte Cristo (Book II). It includes exhilarating new adventures, characters, and ideas, carrying the reader past book I and II and into book III of an ever-expanding new series based on the classic.
Those who have already had the pleasure of reading The Sultan of Monte Cristo will certainly appreciate the unique way in which the Holy Ghost Writer has expanded the original story without the help of anyone (except perhaps from the ghosts of Dumas and Doyle).
In addition to comprising a 3rd sequel to The Count of Monte Cristo, The Sovereign Order of Monte Cristo serves as a prequel to The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
