at 2:45 AM

What made you want to be a writer? I always enjoyed writing and this particular book I felt that the story needed to be told.

What do you consider the most challenging about writing a novel, or about writing in general? That I can convey the message clearly and that its grammatical correct.

Did writing this book teach you anything and what was it? The entire book is a life lesson for me. It was a cleansing and a step I needed to take.

Do you intend to make writing a career? I have thought about it, I enjoyed the experience in writing this book and I’m already working on another.

Have you developed a specific writing style? I think I like writing in first person, it allows me to convey my thoughts and message more clearly.

What is your greatest strength as a writer? I can easily paint a picture with words without too much effort.

Have you ever had writer’s block? If so, what do you do about it? No, not really, I got lazy at times.

Can you share a little of your current work with us? Right now, what I do is mostly accounting, tax and audit work, but is the most satisfying part of my job is the people I meet and being able to help them in an often times difficult situations that they find themselves in.

How did you come up with the title? From the articles that were written about me in 1999, I just added the “The Untold True Story” to it. I did not have to be very imaginative.

Can you tell us about your main character? I’m the main character in this book since its based on real events that transpired.

How did you develop your plot and characters? Two weeks after being released from the hospital I wrote about 200 pages of notes, which eventually became my book.

Who designed the cover? My daughter who is an artist, we modified it to make it more appealing. There was a reason for the original cover and why it was so plain.

Who is your publisher? I’m an independent publisher.

Why did you choose to write this particular book? Because I was told Michael Bay and Paramount were making a movie about it and I thought it was important for me to tell the true story.

What was the hardest part about writing this book? That’s easy, I had to re-live on paper many of the things I went through. Although I seem them from a different perspective now, it reminded me of many things ii chose to forget and put aside.

Did you learn anything from writing this book and what was it? That writing is a small piece of the puzzle. Publicity and creating awareness that your book exists, being an independent publisher is not easy and takes a lot of work.

How do you promote this book? I’m fortunate that the Movie will do much of that for me, also I will appear on several newspaper articles and some television programs. I also used the social networks.

Will you write others in this same genre? I hope not, since it was based on real events.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp? That no matter how bad our situation in life appears to be and even if there seems to be no solution, never lose hope, miracles happen all the time.
